Level One (Observation)
How did the different characters respond to the “horrors” of the matrix?
How does Neo change from before he is “freed” from the matrix to after?
Level Two (Abstraction)
Why do you think the main characters (besides Neo) are always running? (Not psychically, but away)
What do you think about this quote:
“The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you’re inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.”
Why do you think just having the knowledge of fighting, jumping, etc wasn’t enough to accomplish those tasks?
Level Three (Personalization)
How do you define what is real? To quote Morpheus: “What is “real”? How do you define “real”?”
Is there more to “realness” than what we can discover with our senses?
Why do you think that the main characters are willing to kill the prisoners of the matrix? To save themselves?
