Overheard Dialog #10

What do we do with all that information?

It’s been a while since I did one of these, but it is amazing what we hear when we listen:

I overheard this on a small walk tonight:

Teenager (who was talking on a cell phone while loading boxes into a car)

“People before computers, phones, and the internet must have been bored all the time.  No wonder nothing of merit got done back then.”

Hearing that reminded me of two things:

First this quotation:

“There is no excuse for being bored. The world is overflowing with more than enough beauties and fascinations and mysteries to fill several lifetimes.” – Dale Ahlquist

Secondly this advertisement for a book I want to buy that comes out on the 1st of April (no joke):
